Aqura

When I was eight my family camped in the Smokies
With Dad’s telescope packed in the car
After dark, we explored the Great Milky Way
And imagined the ice caps on Mars
Now I’m grown and still searchin’ for answers
And there’s only one way to find out…

I look up
‘Specially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
I put stars in my empty cup…
I look up…

I’m not ignoring the problems
That trouble us down here on earth
But sometimes a peek at the heavens
Reminds us of what this life’s worth
We will never stop searchin’ for answers
And there’s only one way to find out

I look up
‘Specially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
I put stars in my empty cup…
I look up…

Call on science or Shiva, Yahweh, Buddah or Jesus
We’ve got questions we ask of the sky
No matter what your skin color or who was your mother
We never stop wonderin’ why…

We look up
‘Specially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
Put some stars in that empty cup
Look up…
Watch the comets fly…it’s the highest high…
Look up…
Search the evening sky…
You won’t believe your eyes
Look up….
