Aqura

When I was eight my family drove out of the city
With Daddy’s telescope packed in the car
We stayed up late, explored the Great Milky Way
And imagined the ice caps on Mars.
Now I’m grown and still searchin’ for answers
And there’s only one way to find out…

I look up
Especially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
I put stars in my empty cup…
I look up…

I’m not ignoring the problems
That trouble us down here on earth
But sometimes a peek at the heavens
Reminds us of what this life’s worth
We will never stop searchin’ for answers
And there’s only one way to find out…

Look up
Especially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
Put some stars in your empty cup
Look up…

We need the starlight and moonshine and amazin’ grace
We’ve got questions we ask of the sky
No matter your skin color, where you’re from or who’s your mother
We never stop… wonderin’ why…

Look up
Especially when times get tough
When everyday life’s not enough
Put some stars in that empty cup
Look Up
I watch the comets fly…
You won’t believe your eyes
Look up….
It is the highest high…
