This reimagining of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" is a tribute to the greatest North American female singer-songwriter of her generation. Joni did not play at Woodstock, but after hearing an account of the festival from Graham Nash, this song was conceived and released in 1970, 52 years ago. The song and lyrics are still brilliant and so relevant to 2022. The droney orchestral/piano background is my imagining, but the lyrics are unchanged from the original until the final chorus. Enjoy and remember.

This song was written in honor of my Dad, Jim Harrell and it reflects the way he felt about family farming. He grew up on an Indiana dirt farm and bequeathed a Possum Trot, Tennessee spread to me and my sister Anita when he passed almost 5 years ago. Rest in Peace, Dad. We've still got the farm.
