Aqura

She lived… down the old dirt road
Back of my Grandpa’s barn
We climbed…up in the loft
In a summer thunderstorm.

She kept…telling me secrets
As we played truth or dare
Wild rain… pounded that tin roof
And the lightnin’… sparkled her hair.

We were… two kids.. having a good time
Keepin’ each other warm
We found…our first love
In the hayloft of that old barn.

She was…shakin’ all over
From wind blowin’ through the cracks
I knew…where this was goin’
We might never come back.

She moved…closer beside me
I took her tremblin’ hand
That day… I woke a boy
By nightfall…I was her man.

We were… two kids.. having a good time
Keeping each other warm
We found…our first love
In the hayloft of that old barn.

Two hearts a’ thumpin’,
In that musty air
It was hay-stack heaven and
Nothin’ else mattered…while we were up there
We didn’t care…

We were… two kids.. having a good time
Keepin’ each other warm
We found…our first love
In the hayloft of that old barn
We found…our first love
In the hayloft…of that old barn.
